HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZIGGY AT BOOK EXPO

New York, NY – (May 23, 2011) - Ziggy is 40 this year and to help kick off his birthday celebration this year, Mom’s Choice will help to celebrate with a song and birthday cake serving to attendees at Book Expo America, held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York, May 23-25.

A special, large Ziggy-shaped 3D cake, made by New York’s famous A Cake In Time bakery, will be on display and then served at the Mom’s Choice booth (2264) during Tom Wilson’s book autograph signing on Thursday, May 26 beginning at 10:30AM.

The one-of-a- kind ZIGGY cake is being created by “cake boss” Sherry Sobel, owner of A Cake In Time in New York. The special standing cake consists of three tiers. The bottom tier will be a 16" round non-edible styrofoam circle that will be decorated with 40 "candles" around the sides of the tier. The middle tier will be a 14" Moist Chocolate cake with Dulce De Leche Butter Cream filling. It will be decorated with the name "Ziggy" in his renowned comic strip character font and positioned flat against this tier will also be a 2D cutout of Fuzz, Ziggy’s dog. . The top tier of this cake will be a 3D Ziggy figure that stands approximately 16" high and 14" wide. Behind Ziggy will be numerous colorful stars on wires, and next to him will be large colorful gumballs that will also be will be used around the edges of the different tiers.
