Indy, We Have a Problem: Killer Bunnies Jupiter Lost in Space
Indianapolis, IN – (August 12, 2008) – It seems that the Killer Bunnies® are trapped in orbit and are unlikely to make it to Earth in time for Gen Con Indy, according to a spokesperson for Playroom Entertainment, makers of the new Killer Bunnies® and the Journey to Jupiter™ board game.
The all-new board game, which stars the fan-favorite hares from the successful Killer Bunnies® and the Quest for the Magic Carrot™ card game, was to make its highly anticipated debut for consumers at Gen Con, the largest annual games convention in the U.S. , but unfortunately could not multiply in time to have stock on hand at the Indiana Convention Center .
Tony Ahluwalia , vice-president of Playroom, said, “The crazy antics of our famed characters have occurred, just like in the game itself. At Playroom, we are proud to always provide the best quality of product possible. If we couldn’t have the best finished product on hand, we simply could not allow it to be sold under our name. However, although we will not have the full stock of Killer Bunnies Jupiter that we wanted to deliver to fans right away, we will be taking orders for the game at the show and offering consumers completely free shipping* and we plan to have all of the games delivered by the end of August.”
Playroom said that unforeseeable delays in the printing are to blame for the delayed shipment to have the games on hand. However, the company will have demonstration units to play the game for all ticketed events in the Wabash hall at the show and on display at their booth #1824.
The new Killer Bunnies® and the Journey to Jupiter™ (MSRP $45, for ages 12 and up) is the fast-paced board game for 2-6 players that operates completely independently of Playroom’s famous Killer Bunnies® and the Quest for the Magic Carrot™ card game and Killer Bunnies® Quest Booster Decks.
The Killer Bunnies Jupiter board game is a stand-alone board game that begins in the same manner that began the worldwide cult phenomenon of the Killer Bunnies Quest card game, with a Blue Starter deck. Although the board game may use some of the same card game mechanics, Killer Bunnies Jupiter allows players to travel into space for a completely new experience.
Playroom Entertainment introduced the Killer Bunnies® and the Quest for the Magic Carrot to immediate success in 2002. The non-collectable card game that features cute, fun and silly illustrations, despite the game’s premise of a bunny-killing free-for-all, has delighted an enthusiastic worldwide fan base whose “can’t get enough” following has grown the Playroom catalog to contain nine Booster Decks, and a KinderBunnies® version for ages 5 and up.
