 Wise Alec™ Arrives from Griddly Games
- Feisty Game Designers Find Wise Way to Include Multi-Age Players -

Vancouver, BC - (April 1, 2008) – The wise guys at Griddly Games, Inc. today announced the release of its new party game, Wise Alec™, a multi-generational family game of trivia, tongue twisters and sassy social strategy.

An all-new, original game from Griddly Games, Wise Alec (MSRP $24.99, for 2-6 players ages 8 and up) is a game of brainteaser challenges, silly-natured abstracts, and personal behaviors that allow players of various ages and abilities to play together.

A slight departure from Griddly Games current line-up of hit sports-themed strategy games, the Griddly Headz™, Wise Alec is more trivia based with curriculum elements. All of the Griddly Games are designed for family gatherings, holiday parties and group play

Playing Wise Alec, opponents have a chance for making wise choices before, during, and after the game. On each turn, players try to earn points as they move around the board answering questions in three different categories (based on curriculum). Each question offers a choice of an easy or more difficult question. Players can use their strengths for maximum or minimum risk and reward, but when a player lands on a Wise Alec card though, the fun really begins.

Schwartzman explains, “Since we created Wise Alec as a total forum for demonstrating how a great game can bring people together in wholesome fun, we incorporated positive lifestyle habits and encouraged good manners throughout the game.” For example, Wise Alec includes some riddles and mental challenges, but it also allows advancements or point deductions for fitness abilities, like doing 10 push ups for extra points, or poor etiquette like burping in public and losing 2 points.” 

“When families play the game on a regular basis, maybe everyone will think twice about holding the door for someone or eating a piece of fruit instead of a candy bar,“ Schwartzman said. “Wise Alec provides fun, interesting knowledge, and fun facts, while also promoting some healthy habits, choices and activities that can continue in-between rounds of the game.”
